Two groups of builders simultaneously construct and de-construct two identical shells of houses during four till ten days. 6.4m - 7.5m high shells are built out of lightweight blocks up to third floor level and juxtaposed with each other in rotational symmetry. The process is synchronised so that the construction and de-construction is choreographed sequentially: The opposite segments of the two shells slowly move around each other until the project is completed. Two separate houses appear on the same spot at the same time.
The houses become a structure of constant movement as walls appear and disappear, its spatiality constantly changing and unstable. This raises questions about the permanence of architectural structures, their relationship to their surroundings, and the nature of housing. Architecture is re-
